Kekene III: An Evening of Spectacular Ivory Coast Traditional Dance and Drum
"La Chasse" ("The Hunt") is a ballet debut choreographed by Vado Diomande and performed by Kotchegna Dance Company and Ivory Coast guest stars. Featuring the dynamic drums and the energetic and vibrant traditional dances of the Ivory Coast, "La Chasse" is the story of a hunter who goes hunting in the forest on a forbidden day, with unexpected circumstances. The ballet will be performed on Sunday February 22, 2009 at 6pm. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. The evening will be a memorable and entertaining journey into the remarkable culture of Ivory Coast, and will delight audiences of all ages.
